Poker-faced ex-mayor Misty Roberts shuns press, awaits fate for sex with sons teen pal at boozy bash

Disgraced Louisiana mayor Misty Roberts was stony-faced and ignored reporters as she arrived at court Tuesday to learn her fate after she was caught having depraved sex with her son’s 16-year-old best friend at a boozy pool party.Roberts – the former leader of DeRidder, La.– kept her eyes on the ground as she solemnly marched into the Beauregard Parish Criminal Court, in the same small town she once governed, video shows. The 43-year-old mother of two was convicted in March on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile for having sex with the teen during a booze-fueled pool party for her own son’s birthday in July 2024. The then-mayor – who was clad in a skimpy orange bikini at the party – flirted openly and posed for creepy photos with the boy, before luring him to the “bonus room” of her home, stripping and having sex with him, according to court docs and witness testimony introduced during her trial. Roberts’ teenage son took a photo of the boy on top of his mother, and said in an interview played for the jury that he saw his mom having sex with his pal through a crack in a window.Her own daughter also testified she saw Roberts and the teen victim “on top of each other.”The victim told jurors from the stand that he was drunk when the twisted sex crime unfolded. The ex-mayor’s best friend and former sister-in-law, Jill Weaver, also testified that she had overheard Roberts’ teenage son screaming that his mom “effed” his “best friend” after the drunken romp, when she was asked to help mediate the chaos. A local DoorDash driver told the courtroom that they had delivered Plan B emergency contraception to Roberts’ home – while frantic text messages showed the victim’s mom asking the perv ex-mayor about the possibility of her becoming pregnant. “Out of respect for both our families, can you assure me that you can’t be pregnant?” the boy’s mother messaged Roberts.“Yes,” she re...
