Look who saved the day when Zohran Mamdanis Bryant Park warmth of collectivism grew too hot

Maybe Mayor Zohran Mamdani was trying to squeeze in more of his “warmth of collectivism” when he added Bryant Park, at the last minute, as a watch-party site for the NBA Finals, but what he got instead was mayhem: huge brawls, youths jumping on cars, tearing down street signs, setting fires, attacking cops. And it was the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group — you know, the one Hizzoner wants to disband — that rushed in, as usual, to save the day.“This city has come together to cheer on the Knicks and share in a moment that belongs to all of us,” Mamdani gushed Monday (the morning of the game!) as he announced that Bryant Park would complement Central Park and the Brooklyn Bowl as a watch-party site.Whose idea was it to add a much smaller venue?
