Biden to appear at Westchester fundraiser hosted by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas

President Biden will attend a campaign fundraiser on Thursday in Westchester County hosted by Hollywood A-listers Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. It’s the second time in less than a month that Biden, 81, will trek to New York and rub elbows with celebrities in an effort to raise cash for his re-election battle against former President Donald Trump. The invite, seen by The Post, will take place at an undisclosed address in Irvington, the same village that Zeta-Jones and Douglas call home.

The celebrity power couple purchased a $4.5 million 12-acre riverfront estate in Irvington in 2019, after downsizing from their 26-bedroom Bedford mansion. The main house on the property boasts 8 bedrooms, 10 full- and 2 half-bathrooms, a two-story library, seven fireplaces, a cabana, tennis courts, indoor pool, rec room, and a four-car garage, according to Westchester Magazine. It’s unclear if the Biden fundraiser will take place at the Zeta-Jones/Douglas estate, as other individuals listed as hosts on the invite also reside in Irvington, including fashion designer Eileen Fisher and attorney Rodge Cohen and his wife, Barbara.Businessman and venture capitalist Robert Goodman and his wife, Jayne Lipman, hedge fund manager John Shapiro and his wife, Shonni Siverberg, and Jonathan and Judy Siegel are also listed as hosts. Biden supporters will need to fork over $3,300 for one ticket to the event, or $5,000 per couple, according to the Journal News. Hosts must donate at least $100,000 to the Biden Victory Fund, the outlet reported. Douglas called Biden “sharp as a tack” on Sunday, in response to criticism about the president’s age. “We all have an issue with memories as we get older. We forget names,” the 79-year-old actor told CNN host Fareed Zakaria, noting that “everybody” in Biden’s inner circle who he’s talked to claims the president is “fine.” Stay up on the very latest with Evening Update.
