Fan at Pirates game falls 21 feet onto playing field in scary scene

A fan’s fall from the field from the right field bleachers at PNC Park during Wednesday’s Pirates-Cubs game resulted in a scary scene.After Andrew McCutchen doubled in the bottom of the seventh inning, the fan, sitting in what appeared to be the first row of the right field bleachers, fell from his seat and onto the warning track.Another fan jumped onto the field to help.The fan was attended to for around five minutes by stadium personnel, according to the Associated Press, as players knelt and prayed.“Tonight, during the seventh inning of the game at PNC Park, an adult male fell from the right field bleachers onto the field of play,” the team said.“Pittsburgh EMS, as well as the Pirates and Cubs athletic training teams and other PNC Park personnel reacted and responded immediately and administered care.
He was transported to Allegheny General Hospital.No further information is available at this time.
