LOADINGERROR LOADING“Death of a Unicorn” star Paul Rudd recalled his horror at suffering an unexpected NSFW wardrobe malfunction while performing in a play in front of a live audience in the early aughts. While appearing on Monday’s episode of the “SmartLess” podcast, the actor recalled the mortifying moment he realized he had accidentally exposed his family jewels to an entire crowd.Advertisement The wild recollection came up after actor and podcast host Jason Bateman asked Rudd if “anything weird” had ever happened while he was onstage.
The question led Rudd to launch into a story about the mishap, which he said took place when he was starring alongside Rachel Weisz in a 2001 production of “The Shape Of Things.” “I did a scene, I was lying on top of a bed doing a scene, I was lying on top of a bed, and I’m with this woman, Rachel Weisz was in the show, and I was wearing boxer shorts and a T-shirt,” he recalled.“All of a sudden, this had never happened before, I heard the audience laughing, and I was like: ‘What is going on?’”Advertisement That’s when he realized the worst thing had happened in front of everyone.
“Because I was lying on the bed, I had my leg up, and realized my balls were hanging out,” Rudd said, laughing.“Which is worse than actually, like, even your penis.” He added: “When it’s just your balls… By the way, it might have been just one ball.
