The Issue: Democrats’ fight against Trump’s illegal immigrant deportations over due process.It’s pathetic, to say the least, listening to Democratic politicians scream about the rights of the deported criminal Kilmar Abrego Garcia while ignoring the suffering of the people illegal immigrants have traumatized (“Deport the Easy Way,” Rich Lowry, PostOpinion, April 29).As a former law-enforcement officer retired from war wounds, I believe it’s my civic duty to inform the far-left Democratic anarchists that they have misconstrued the law of “due process” to fit their agenda.The reported illegals who crossed our borders during the Biden presidency have no due-process rights because they are not subject to our laws.Gregory TopliffAiken, SCIt seems Democrats are concentrating a majority of their time and efforts on the rights of immigrants here illegally — many of whom have committed violent crimes against innocent Americans.
