Kid-killing ACS is indefensible, Mayor Adams why are you even trying?

“It’s not far-lefty policies that are saying, ‘Let this child stay.’ No, they’re making the right decision.”: That, incredibly, is Mayor Eric Adams’ judgment on the Administration for Children’s Services after a Post exposé revealed that at least seven children have died in the agency’s care since the start of 2024.Wrong, sir: ACS, under Woke White Guy Jess Dannhauser, refuses to remove children from even the most dangerous and toxic environments — on grounds of “equity.” Thus, of more than 18,000 reports of neglect filed with the agency last year, 44% saw no services being provided. And when it comes to getting kids to safety, paper-pushers back at the office reportedly often overrule caseworkers — the people who actually go into homes and see the dangers kids face from addicted, violent or mentally ill parents.  Jahmeik Modlin’s parents had faced four ACS reports for neglect — yet the 4-year-old weighed just 19 pounds when he died in October, starved to death.Dannhauser and ACS killed Jahmeik as surely as if they had starved him themselves. Promise Cotton, also 4, was left to fend for herself by scavenging chocolate for days in April in a unit where the decomposing bodies of her insane mother and disabled brother lay. Her mother also had an open ACS case, yet it’s only by sheer luck that Promise survived. This is what ACS brass mean by “equity”: allowing the preventable deaths of poor black and brown kids across the city. The mayor spoke of the need for “balance” between aggressive intervention and respect for the family nucleus.Absolutely, but Dannhauser’s open embrace of death, disorder and social destruction is as off-balance as it gets. ...
