Miami linebacker Adarius Hayes injured in car crash that left two children dead

Adarius Hayes, a linebacker at the University of Miami, was injured in an automobile accident that killed two children Saturday in Largo, Fla., according to multiple reports.A spokesperson for the Largo Police Department confirmed the fatalities to the Miami Herald on Saturday night, but they did not identify the drivers in the two-car crash that took place Saturday afternoon in Largo, the Hurricanes freshman’s hometown in the Tampa area.Police said a Kia Soul was making a left turn when it was collided into by a Dodge Durango, and they don’t believe alcohol was a factor, ESPN reported.Jabari Elijah Solomon, 10, and Charlie Herbert Solomon Riveria, 4, were killed in the crash, and multiple others were hospitalized with serious injuries, the police said.“This is an ongoing and active investigation, and no further information is available for release at this time,” Largo Police Department public information officer Megan Santo said in a statement.Hayes appeared in 11 games mostly as a special teams player as a freshman at Miami, making four tackles plus one interception against Florida A&M in September.Several teammates and others associated with the football program posted prayerful messages in support of Hayes.“Got you bro.Keep fighting #AD,” sophomore linebacker Raul Aguirre wrote Saturday night on X, along with fingers-crossed and prayer emojis....
