Israel targets Hamas leader Muhammad Sinwar in fresh missile strikes on Gaza, the IDF announces

The leader of Hamas has been targeted in fresh Israeli missile strikes on Gaza on Tuesday, the IDF has announced.It is not clear whether he is dead or alive.Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of Oct.7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar, was reportedly the target of an Israeli airstrike on the European Hospital in the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media.At least six people were killed and 40 wounded, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Ministry of Health, which did not name Sinwar as one of the dead.Hamas has previously chosen not to release the names of its slain commanders, so as to not give away details of their positions to Israel.Sinwar is the younger brother of Hamas’s former leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli soldiers last October.He has consistently risen through the ranks of the terror group and manage to rebuild nearly all of its strength since the beginning of the Gaza war, US officials previously warned....
