Russell Wilson feeling part of New York now as he takes in Knicks playoffs, Subway Series

Russell Wilson truly has been a man about town since signing on as QB1 with the Giants, including several appearances on Celebrity Row at the Garden during the Knicks run to the Eastern Conference finals.The future football Hall of Famer was even spotted celebrating at a Meatpacking District hot spot with the Knicks and Bad Bunny and other celebrities after their series-clinching Game 6 win Friday night against the Celtics, according to Page Six.The 36-year-old Wilson, a 2010 fourth-round MLB draft pick of the Rockies, got back to his baseball roots Sunday night, taking in the Yankees-Mets finale at the Stadium with his singer wife, Ciara, and their children.“It’s been a lot of fun being around the Knicks and going to their games at MSG,” Wilson told The Post during batting practice.“The experience of watching and being part of that atmosphere and getting to know Jalen [Brunson] and Josh [Hart] and KAT [Karl-Anthony Towns] and all those guys has been really special.“It’s been a lot of fun just feeling like we’re part of New York now, and to be around the other teams, and these great athletes, like my friend Aaron Judge.
I’m looking forward to the new season with the Giants.”Wilson, who went to spring training with the Yankees as a non-roster invitee in 2018, and Ciara posed for photos with Judge, New Jersey product Anthony Volpe and others outside the Yankees dugout during BP.The 10-time Pro Bowler said Sunday’s game was a gift for his son Future’s 11th birthday on Monday.Future Wilson’s Little League team — the Yankees, of course — won its division championship last week in San Diego.“It’s always important to be around this winning culture and especially the baseball guys like Aaron, who I’ve been close with, having been in spring training with these guys, it’s always an honor,” Wilson said.
