Bidens cancer diagnosis: Letters to the Editor May 21, 2025

Former President Joe Biden’s team consistently stated that he was fit to serve (“A ‘doctored’ message,” May 20).The obvious conclusion is that he either lied to the public, or he needs to change the doctors treating him.Judi SrulowitzEnglewood, NJAs a prostate cancer survivor, my sympathy for Biden is tempered by two concerns.First, at this late stage, the disease simply had to be known by his doctors at least several years ago.Why did they withhold this critical information from the entire nation?Secondly this leads me to believe that, at best, Jill and Hunter Biden knew about his condition and knowingly lied to all of us for several years while Joe was president.Let’s play this lie out further: Can you imagine if he did not withdraw from the 2024 election, then beat Trump, and resigned to hand the presidency over to intellectually limited former Vice President Kamala Harris?Peter IncardoneLong Beach Island, NJAs a 72-year-old physician with a history of prostate cancer, I don’t see how Joe Biden could have not known about his diagnosis.
