The Armed Announce New Album and Tour, Share Video for New Song Well Made Play

The Armed have announced a new album, The Future Is Here and Everything Needs to Be Destroyed.Out August 1 via Sargent House, the Detroit hardcore collective’s Perfect Strangers follow-up is led by the single and opening track “Well Made Play.” Watch the song’s video, directed by Christopher Gruse, below.Armed vocalist Tony Wolski said of the clip, which depicts two men fighting over a jet ski, “While we chase distractions and small comforts, we’re pushed into endless competition with each other—often while those with real power take freely, right in front of us.” He added of the album: “It’s music for a statistically wealthy population that somehow can’t afford food or medicine—endlessly scrolling past vacation photos, gym selfies, and images of child amputees in the same feed.

It reflects the dissociation required just to exist in that reality.”The Armed have have also announced a limited U.S.tour which will extend from late summer through the end of 2025.

They’ll be joined at all dates by fellow Michiganders Prostitute.In March, the Armed performed at a Bernie Sanders rally in Warren, Michigan.
