Wild dashcam footage shows moment dump truck smashes into NJ home

Heart-pounding dashcam footage caught the moment a 73,000-pound dump truck smashed into the side of a New Jersey home at 50 mph, injuring a resident and destroying the building.The driver is believed to have suffered a medical episode moments before the violent crash in Woodbury on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Woodbury Police Department.Dashcam video obtained by 6 ABC shows the driver traveling down a two-lane road when his truck veers over the median and plows right into a telephone pole on the opposite side of the street.The truck, loaded with concrete sand, continues flying across several front lawns before it crosses another street, jumps a curb and blasts through the walls of the corner home, the clip shows.A resident home at the time was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.Photos from the scene show the large truck sticking half out of the two-story house with debris scattered everywhere.The house was later demolished after the truck was removed, according to 6 ABC.The driver, a lifelong employee of Zeisloft Trucking, was trapped in the truck for about three hours before he was pulled to safety, according to the company owner.βHe had no idea what happened.All he knows is he was stuck in the truck,β said owner Charles ZeisloftWitness David Keating said he immediately ran inside to try and help the homeowner.βI was able to make eye contact with him through a hole where the floor and well had separated, and I was able to talk to him for about 10 minutes until the paramedics got there,β he told 6 ABC.Police said the investigation is ongoing....
