Exclusive | Snooki opens up about connecting with her birth mom for the first time

It may the first time Snooki blacked out from something other than dirty martinis.“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was six months old when she was adopted — and at 36, she finally heard her birth mother’s voice for the first time — a highly anticipated phone call filmed for the world to see.“I feel like I blacked out in that moment,” Polizzi told The Post ahead of Season 8 of “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” which airs on May 29.“It was just a bunch of emotions … You’re going to see of all it.”The reality star — who was born in Santiago, Chile, and adopted by Andy and Helen Polizzi of Marlboro, NY — said she was never interested in connecting with her birth family. She was inspired to learn more about them after her castmate Angelina Pivarnick found her birth father through New Jersey-based adoptee-turned-investigative genealogist and DNA expert Pamela Slaton during Season 7 of the spinoff series.“I never wanted to reach out or find anything, but maybe just like get pictures of what they look like, because I never had anyone look like me until I had my kids,” Polizzi, now 37, explained.“So I was just like, ‘I would love to see what my birth mom looks like, if I have any siblings.’ And I thought it was going to stop there.”Polizzi contacted Slaton and “she literally got it done in like two weeks,” she explained.“She’s phenomenal. And she keeps everything secret.
She doesn’t say who’s trying to reach out.She just finds the information without having to contact the people, which is crazy.”Once Polizzi got the information, though, she changed her mind, and agreed to the call.
“And I got the binder. And I saw what they looked like.
And then we ended up reaching out.And it was through a text.
And then it went to a phone conversation. So it was a lot of things that I didn’t think I was going to do,” she said. She still hasn’t seen her birth parents face to face, but is open to the possibility....
