The daughter of music legend Billy Joel shared a touching tribute after the “Piano Man” singer was diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus and canceled all of his upcoming concerts.Alexa Ray Joel, whom Joel shares with ex Christie Brinkley, praised her father for being the “strongest and most resilient man I’ve ever known” as she thanked fans for the “beautiful outpouring of love and support.”“We love you and we got you, Pop,” Alexa captioned in an Instagram post on Saturday.She posted the emotional message alongside a black and white painting that seemingly showed the iconic vocalist holding hands with her as a little girl.“My Dad is the strongest and most resilient man I’ve ever known… and he’s entirely committed to making a full recovery with ongoing physical-therapy treatments as he continues to regain his strength,” she added.On Friday, the “New York State of Mind” singer revealed he was forced to cancel all of his scheduled concerts amid his new health diagnosis.

“Normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) is a condition that happens when cerebrospinal fluid builds up inside your skull and presses on your brain,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.The condition, which can cause cognitive difficulties, happens in people over 65 and can be treated with surgery and “sometimes even reversible.”The musician’s team suggested that continuing to tour would worsen his brain disorder.“This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance,” a statement on the “The Longest Time” performer’s Instagram page revealed on Friday.“Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period.”“I’m sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding,” the “Uptown Girl” singer wrote.All scheduled shows until July 3, 2026, have been ...
