Goldenberg retiring as CEO of cannabis producer Organigram

Beena Goldenberg is retiring as CEO of Canadian cannabis producer Organigram Global.Her departure is effective Sept.
30, the end of the company’s current fiscal year, according to a Tuesday news release. ADVERTISEMENT The company’s board plans a “comprehensive CEO selection process” to find someone to lead Organigram into “its next chapter of growth,” the release noted.
Organigram’s revenue has grown from $80 million to more than $250 million since Goldenberg joined the New Brunswick-based company in 2021.Also under her leadership, according to the release, the company: Doubled the capacity of its cultivation facility in Moncton, New Brunswick.
Made three strategic acquisitions, including the April purchase of THC drink manufacturer Collective Project, which gave Organigram its first revenue stream in the United States.Rebranded in March from Organigram Holdings.
“After five incredible years in the cannabis industry, serving as CEO of Supreme Cannabis Co.and Organigram Global, I have decided it is time to move on to my next chapter,” Goldenberg said in a statement.
