California man slugs NYPD sergeant who tried to guide him out of Times Square street in caught-on-video attack

A California man slugged a uniformed NYPD sergeant who tried to usher him out of a Times Square street in a caught-on-video attack early Tuesday — part of a troubling trend of attacks on uniformed officials in the Big Apple over the past few days.Video posted to Instagram showed the moment the officer attempted to guide 21-year-old Aaron Cuauhtemoc Domsky by his arm out of the street at 7th Avenue and West 46th Street around 2:45 a.m.A belligerent Domsky turned on the cop — dealing a single blow to his jaw and running off as the shell-shocked officer trailed him, the clip shows.As Domsky tried to make his escape, he slapped a 19-year-old woman in the face and elbowed another woman, 35, in the back of the head — causing her to fall and hit her head on the ground, according to a criminal complaint.Domsky, of Costa Mesa, was eventually arrested and charged with assault in the second and third degrees, according to court documents.Domsky was ordered held on $30,000 cash bail, $80,000 insurance company bond and $60,000 partially secured surety bond during his Wednesday arraignment.

He was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam and is scheduled to reappear in court on Friday.The Times Square attack comes on the heels of at least three other recent crimes dating back to Friday targeting cops and other uniformed officials.A cop canvassing an upscale retail store on Bedford Avenue near North 4th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, witnessed four people attempting to rob the place just before 10 p.m.Friday, cops said.The detective attempted to stop the heist when the group began attacking him, cops said.
