The Issue: City Comptroller Brad Lander’s arrest outside an immigration court in Manhattan.Trailing mayoral candidate Brad Lander was arrested at a federal immigration court, just as he planned in his doltish attempt to revive his moribund campaign (“Brad Lander’s Sad Stunt,” Editorial, June 18).Lander must be furious that he was released soon after, cheating him of continuing his circus act in court, and depriving him of further feckless media attention.Frank OlivieriNorth Fort Myers, Fla.Here we go again.Another braindead Democrat, Brad Lander, running against Trump.

Last time I looked, Donald Trump was not running for office.They have no plans to better the lives of New Yorkers.While city residents experience high prices, rent increases, rising health-care costs, etc., Democrats waved in millions of illegal border crossers — who were then put up in hotels, given food vouchers, free heath care, etc.What the hell are any of you going to do to better the lives of the citizens of this once-great city and state?Sylvia Kane, BrooklynIsn’t it getting stale? It seems that every other day, headline-grabbing politicians — whether in Newark, NJ, California or New York City — confront ICE staff at their offices.Having had no vision for how to control borders or sanctuary cities, these politicians pander to their progressive supporters by interfering with ICE routines.If ICE’s mandate needs tweaking, this is surely not the way to get it done.
