Dodgers-Padres game erupts into chaos in wild benches-clearing scene

The Dodgers and Padres are starting to feel like a genuine rivalry — and Thursday night’s game with a benches-clearing incident only added to that.After San Diego star Fernando Tatis was drilled on the elbow in the top of the ninth inning by Jack Little, Padres manager came out of the visitors’ dugout and had some words for home plate umpire Marvin Hudson before barking at Dodgers skipper Dave Roberts.That’s when things got heated as Roberts came off the bench and got close to Shildt, appearing to give the Padres manager a bit of a shove, leading to players from both teams exiting their respective dugouts and bullpens.Shildt and Roberts had to be held back as the fracas moved toward the first row of the stands behind home plate.
