Although the child’s relationship was not confirmed by authorities, sources told the Sun the young teen was the newlywed’s son.The young boy and groom both sustained severe injuries, CBS News said.One of the shooters was also killed when the bride and groom ran over him while they attempted to flee, a source told the outlet.The gunmen carried several weapons and fled on foot after the gunfire ambush, the outlet said.An investigation into “murder and attempted murder by an organized gang” has been opened by the Avignon prosecutor’s office, Le Figaro reported.The groom’s sister, who was also injured in the shooting, had a violent criminal offense on her record, the outlet said.The attack appeared to be drug-related score-settling, but the exact motive is not immediately known, sources told CBS.
