Dolly Parton, 79, postpones Las Vegas residency due to health challenges

Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency.The singer, 79, announced on Instagram Sunday that she’s dealing with “health challenges” that require her to push back her planned concerts in Sin City.“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton began her statement.“As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” Parton explained.
“As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”The “9 to 5” singer told fans that she can’t “rehearse and put together the show” that they deserve to see, and she wants “to be at my best” for them.“While I’ll still be able to work on all my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say,” Parton continued.“And don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.
But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”“I love you and thank you for understanding,” Parton concluded her message.Parton’s post also included the new dates for her six Las Vegas shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.The concerts, originally slated for Dec.
2025, will now take place in Sept.2026.The music superstar announced “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” in June.
She last performed an extended run in the Neon City 32 years ago.“To say I’m excited would be an understatement.I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there,” Parton said in a press release.
