Meghan Markle’s elderly father, Thomas Markle Sr, insisted he’s “fine” after the Duchess of Sussex’s estranged half-sister falsely claimed he was “trapped” on the 19th floor of his Philippines apartment during a deadly earthquake.Thomas Markle said he was safe in his hotel room following the country’s deadliest earthquake in more than a decade, noting that the epicenter was about 100 miles from where he lives.“I’m currently sitting on the couch in my hotel room, with my feet kicked up and watching Charlie Chan movies.I’m quite comfortable,” Thomas Markle told TMZ on Wednesday.Concerns were kicked into high gear after Samantha Markle, his eldest daughter from his first marriage, posted that her father was “trapped” and “unable to walk” following the natural disaster.“My father is stuck on the 19th floor of a building in the Philippines after a massive earthquake and he can’t walk and he is trapped,” she wrote on X.“As of today he is OK, and making plans to get out of that building.

They seem to be safe for now, and hopefully there will be no serious aftershocks.Provisions are being made so that he won’t be trapped in a similar situation again.
