Teen girls allegedly killed by NJ stalker driver remembered as hard-working theater buff, aspiring cosmetologist

The two New Jersey teens mowed down by an alleged stalker were remembered as a Greek-American who dreamed of going into cosmetology and a theater kid who had the “voice of an angel.”Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, both 17, had their whole lives in front of them before they were fatally struck by a black Jeep Monday evening while riding electric bikes on a Cranford street, their obituaries said.Niotis was born in Rhodes, Greece, and then moved to the Garden State, where she lived most of her life, her obituary stated.She was a student at Cranford High School and leaves behind a twin brother.“She aspired to graduate high school and start a cosmetology career,” her loved ones wrote.Salas was also a lifelong Cranford resident and went to the local high school, according to her obit.She was involved in numerous clubs including choir, an acapella group and the Cranford Dramatic Club Theater.“She was a very talented singer with the voice of an angel,” her relatives wrote, adding, “She was kind, generous, gentle, and will forever be deeply loved by her family.”A 17-year-old peer has been charged with murder, with loved ones and friends accusing the suspect of stalking Niotis for months leading up to the crash.The two families said in a joint statement to Fox 5 that the driver was “plotting this attack” for months.Because he is currently in juvenile court, his identity has not been officially confirmed....
