Beach Boys singer Mike Love gets emotional during tribute to Brian Wilson: Its like hes still here

Wouldn’t it be nice?Beach Boys singer and co-founder Mike Love fought back tears over the weekend as he paid tribute to late bandmate Brian Wilson, who passed away in June at the age of 82.“We want you to see this,” Love, 84, told the audience during a show at the Meritage Resort in Napa, California, on Sunday, per Daily Mail.“We lost Brian earlier this year, but he will always be in our hearts,” the “Good Vibrations” singer continued as a photo montage of Wilson played across the screen.
“It’s like he’s still here.”Love and his band then went on to play several Beach Boys hits during the concert, including “California Girls,” “Surfin’ Safari,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “God Only Knows.”Wilson passed away on June 11 following a battle with dementia.His cause of death was later revealed to be from respiratory arrest, as well as sepsis and cystitis.
He was laid to rest two months later.“We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,” his family announced on Instagram.“We are at a loss for words right now.”“Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving,” they added.

I can feel his presence,” the “Kokomo” singer told People at the time.“You know, we co-created these great songs together, and so we’re inseparable really in life and afterlife too, so I do really feel his presence and, yeah, I’ve known him all his life,” he added.
