Lions vs. Eagles prediction: Sunday Night Football picks, props, odds

Jameson Williams is back. It’s been an up-and-down season for the explosive pass-catcher, but it appears the Lions are looking to get him more involved since their bye week. Over the last two games, Williams has 10 catches on 13 targets and has flashed his usual big-play potential with 185 yards through the air, registering catches of 41 and 37 yards. Before Detroit’s bye two weeks ago, Williams had just two 30-plus yard plays all season and zero plays of more than 22 yards in the entire month of October. Although he has since relinquished play-calling duties, Lions offensive coordinator John Morton has apparently kept his promise after he met with Williams and vowed to get him more involved in the pass game during the team’s week off. “I looked at everything, as far as that.I’m going to do a better job with that.
But there has been opportunities where it just didn’t happen,” Morton said in late October.“It’s not like we aren’t going to try to target him.
So that was the biggest thing.“So I looked at everything, and I failed him. That’s what I told him.
I have to do a better job with that.But it’s a two-way street.
We definitely looked at that.”Williams will look to keep up his hot streak in a key NFC matchup against the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday night. The Lions will be without a key pass catcher, star tight end Sam LaPorta, who is out after suffering a back injury, opening up more opportunities for Williams. Look for the speedster to have a major impact in this one.
