A horrifying, viral video shows a mom and her two young children being viciously attacked by a mob of kids outside a Chicago elementary school.Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson was among those addressing the shocking footage, now seen millions of times on X, calling it “deeply” disturbing and “gut-wrenching.”Corshawnda Hatter, 33, identified herself as the mom who was cornered and attacked as she tried to walk home Monday with her 9-year-old son and younger daughter from Orville Bright Elementary School on the city’s South Side.She was seen trying to protect her terrified children from kids hurling abuse and stopping them from walking by — before they were thrown to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked.At one point, the mom’s wig was ripped off — and one of the attackers yelled, “Beat his ass!” as her son desperately tried to run to safety.“They were literally waiting [along] the way we walked home, just to jump all of us,” Hatter said outside the school on Tuesday, WGN-TV reported.“They followed us all the way there, they hit my son first, dragged me in the grass and pulled my baby’s hair,” Corshawnda said of the younger daughter.Hatter and her 9-year-old son were taken to Trinity Hospital in serious condition after the beatdown, officials said.It was not clear if the daughter needed treatment.The attack is still being investigated, and there had been no arrests as of Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.The mother said her son had been bullied at the school for over two years — but claimed that the administration did nothing to protect him, Fox 32 reported.Hatter met with school administrators and city leaders about the beatdown on Tuesday.
