Isla Fisher reacts to Confessions of a Shopaholic author Sophie Kinsellas death at 55

Isla Fisher is remembering her “hero” Sophie Kinsella after the bestselling author’s death at the age of 55.The actress, who starred in the film adaptation of Kinsella’s hit novel “Confessions of a Shopaholic,” took to social media to pay tribute to the writer following the news of her tragic passing.“I’m so heartbroken that you are gone,” Fisher, 49, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday.The “Now You See Me” star returned to the platform moments later to share a longer tribute to the beloved author.“Dear Sophie, you conjured Rebecca Bloomwood, a hilarious flawed dream of a comic character,” Fisher shared in a second post.“I was lucky enough to step into her shoes and speak your witty and brilliant words.”“My daughters grew up being read your books and love them to this day,” the “Wedding Crashers” star, who shares three children with ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen, added.Fisher ended her emotional message to Kinsella by thanking the British writer for the “magic” she brought to the world through her novels.“My heart is broken.
