How Chiefs reacted to shocking Rashee Rice allegations

The Chiefs said that they are aware of “allegations on social media” after the ex-girlfriend of Kansas City wide receiver Rashee Rice made allegations of domestic violence in an Instagram post Wednesday.“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League,” the Chiefs said in a statement, per the Kansas City Star.“We have no further comment at this time.”The team did not mention a name.Dacoda Nichole Jones, who has two children with Rice, alleged in her post that she “dealt with abuse for years” and that after a breakup between “me and this man” a couple months ago, it’s been “nothing but hell.”Rice has yet to publicly address the matter, as of Thursday morning.Jones, who did not name her alleged abuser, included multiple photos of bruises and scratches on her face and body.She said she’s “so tired of protecting his image” and that “it’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.”Jones also alleged that her ex damaged her property, locked her outside in the cold while she was pregnant and abandoned her and her kids in Kansas.“And there’s multiple instances of cheating but besides that I’m just tired of him not doing right by my boys,” Jones wrote.“It’s not fair he doesn’t call them.
