LA28 reveals new stadiums for Olympic soccer matchesand only two are in California

The LA28 Olympics revealed six new stadiums that will host soccer matches for the Summer Games —with only two in the Golden State.The stadiums are located New York, Columbus, Nashville, St.Louis, San Jose and San Diego.“Bringing Olympic Football group stage and knockout matches to stadiums across the United States means more fans will witness this global event and experience the Olympic spirit firsthand,” said LA28 Chief of Sport and Games Delivery Officer Shana Ferguson in an email.The stadiums will host the group and knockout stages for both the men’s and women’s tournaments, with the final set for the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena in late July 2028.LA28 worked with Soccer United Marketing, the business side of Major League Soccer, to review stadiums across the country and ensure that the chosen venues met top international standards.Full match schedules are expected to be released in April.
