Jay Glazer thought he and Aaron Rodgers were good friends until this offseason changed everything

It looks like Aaron Rodgers and Jay Glazer have had a fallout.Glazer, the Fox Sports NFL insider, appeared on the Yahoo Sports Daily show Wednesday night to talk about various topics, including the future of the free agent Rodgers.Glazer mentioned that the two were friends and even trained in the offseason together, including boxing matches, he previously noted in September.But he didn’t hold back Wednesday when expressing his feelings about the 21-year quarterback.“I thought (me and Aaron Rodgers) were real good friends, and all that stuff, then he called me back once this whole offseason, so screw him,” Glazer said.Rodgers, who spent the past season with the Steelers, has talked with new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy, Glazer added.However, he went on to say that he “can’t tell you how (Rodgers will) be on a Monday or Tuesday, I never know,” creating more doubts about his future.The 42-year-old Rodgers is currently contemplating whether to retire or sign another contract.The Steelers are one option due to his ties with McCarthy.Rodgers and McCarthy spent 13 seasons together with the Green Bay Packers from 2006-18, capturing Super Bowl XLV in 2010 and making the playoffs nine times.Following Rodgers’ Packers career — which saw him rack up 10 Pro Bowls and four MVP awards over 18 years — he’s bounced around between the Jets and Steelers.After a season-ending Achilles injury in his first game with the Jets in 2023, he rebounded with two seasons of 3,000-plus passing yards.The Steelers could use Rodgers’ services again in 2026, too.With McCarthy replacing Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh’s best quarterback options on its depth chart are currently Mason Rudolph and Will Howard.A Rodgers reunion with McCarthy could finally break Pittsburgh’s 10-year drought without a playoff win.Pittsburgh owner Art Rooney II said he hopes to have Rodgers’ future figured out “in the next month or so.” Steelers beat reporter Mark Kaboly added last week that he ...
