Goon sets sleeping man on fire inside Penn Station as ghoulish pals look on: cops

A pyromaniac goon set a sleeping homeless man on fire inside Penn Station while his ghoulish pals watched the carnage on Monday, cops and sources said. The firebug torched the 37-year-old victim’s clothes as he was sprawled out in the Amtrak Rotunda of transit hub on West 31st Street near Seventh Avenue around 8:40 p.m., police said.First responders quickly extinguished the blaze, and the victim was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said. By then, the punks had already fled the scene, and no arrests had been made by Tuesday. One of the suspects was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, the second was spotted in a brown jacket with gray pants and the third was seen carrying a backpack, police said. The attack comes about three months after an 18-year-old firebug allegedly set a sleeping 56-year-old homeless man on fire on board a No.3 train passing through 34th Street-Penn Station in December, police said. The attack left the victim so badly scorched that cops found skin on one of the seats on the train, sources said at the time....
