Exclusive | Four lefty NYC pols subpoenaed in GOP colleagues free-speech suit to explain their racist remarks about conservatives

Four socialist NYC lawmakers will be forced to explain under oath why a Republican colleague faces potential censure over alleged Islamophobic remarks — while they routinely make racist and libelous statements about conservatives, The Post has learned.Lawyers representing firebrand Councilwoman Vickie Paladino (R-Queens) in her free-speech lawsuit served Brooklyn pols Chi Ossé, Shahana Hanif and Sandy Nurse, and Tiffany Cabán of Queens with subpoenas Tuesday.The subpoenas require them to testify in the case on April 17 before Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Sabrina Kraus, according to confidential legal papers examined by the newspaper.The four far-left pols have a long history of raging without consequence against white people and painting their enemies — including President Trump, Republicans, and NYPD cops — as “white supremacists” and “racists,” said Paladino’s lawyer Jim Walden. Ossé called Trump a “pedophile” multiple times last month because the president is mentioned in the Epstein files.In 2023, Ossé made a bigoted remark about a Big Apple contractor convicted of insurance fraud, claiming during a Council hearing that the city should have never hired the landscaping company because its owner’s Italian last name is a “red flag.”The White House recently called out Ossé for spewing “egregious lies,” but the Brooklyn pol was never reprimanded by the Council.
Former Council Minority Leader Joe Borelli (R-Staten Island) filed an ethics complaint against Ossé over the anti-Italian slight, but it also fell on deaf ears.The four radical lawmakers, along with four other council Dems —Manhattan’s Speaker Julie Menin, Brooklyn’s Alexa Aviles and Shekar Krishnan, and Queens’ Nantasha Williams—were separately subpoenaed to turn over all communications they’ve made with other parties since Nov.15 concerning Paladino and her social media posts.Councilwoman Sandra Ung — a Queens Democrat who chairs the Council’s Commit...
