School worker, 41, busted for dropping boy, 10, on ground in disturbing NYC encounter: cops

A 41-year-old paraprofessional was arrested Wednesday for allegedly dropping a 10-year-old boy on the ground in a disturbing encounter inside a Brooklyn public school earlier this year, police said. Demitrius Williams, 41, allegedly picked up the boy around 11:15 a.m.Feb.
5 inside the school on Christopher Avenue near Liberty Avenue in Brownsville before dropping him, authorities said. The attack left the boy with bruises and a minor lip injury, cops said. It was not immediately clear what led to the violence.Williams, listed in city records as a paraprofessional, was arrested Wednesday after an investigation by the NYPD’s Brooklyn Child Abuse Squad, police said. He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and attempted assault, authorities said.His arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Thursday.
