Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd returns to TV How to watch Half Man

Two years after its premiere, the Emmy-winning creator, writer and star of “Baby Reindeer,” Richard Gadd, is returning to TV with a new provocative limited series.“Half Man” premieres on HBO tonight, April 23, with new episodes dropping on HBO Max at the same time they air on TV.
Gadd wrote “Half Man” and stars in it alongside BAFTA-winning actor Jamie Bell; the pair play Ruben and Niall, pseudo-stepbrothers whose relationship is volatile and toxic.Per HBO’s official synopsis of the series, which spans 30 years, “Half Man” is a six-part limited series exploring brotherhood, violence, and the intense fragility of male relationships.After all, when things fall apart… it is sometimes the closest relationships which break the hardest.”In her review of the series, Page Six and The Post’s TV reporter Lauren Sarner wrote, “the six-episode limited HBO series is a gnarly watch that’s sometimes hard to stomach, but it’s riveting, provocative and filled with searing performances.
It should sweep the Emmys, just like “Baby Reindeer” did.”Sarner concludes, “Half Man” is dark, strange and gutting.It’s also interesting, propulsive and full of complicated characters,” noting that “Baby Reindeer” wasn’t a fluke.
