The Issue: A violent anti-Israel protest at a Brooklyn synagogue one week after a similar Manhattan riot.How disgusting it is to watch on TV the anti-Jewish mobs disrupting Jews from attending religious services (“Synagogue clash busts,” May 12).What’s going to happen when the Israeli Day parade takes place? Can you imagine the uproar if the demonstrations were against Muslims?Hey, New York: You got the skunk you wanted as mayor and now are suffering the results.I have no sympathy for you.George McNallySomers Point, NJThe behavior of the group that took to the streets in Brooklyn was a show of hate.This group is a bunch of uncivilized people with no respect for personal safe space as written in law.Mayor Mamdani has to put an end to this, but refuses to do so.
There is no place for this behavior in our city.Daniel RicciardiBrooklynOur government needs to ban wearing a face or head covering while engaging in a protest.Wearing a keffiyeh around the shoulders is normal, but not around the head, so as to become anonymous.
