Creepy DoorDash tactic South American gangs using to invade LA homes

Several South American gang members have finally been taken down by cops, accused of allegedly using a creepy delivery tactic to break into people’s homes in Los Angeles.Following a string of residential burglaries in LA, seven criminal gang members — including four Colombian nationals are accused of robbing unsuspecting homeowners across LA by pretending to work for delivery services.Police said the suspected burglars used items from delivery companies like Amazon, DoorDash and UberEats to gain access to people’s homes.LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman pointed out some of the items police said were used including a red DoorDash bag, along with tools to break into people’s homes once they found no one was there, during a press conference on Wednesday.“Because what we have seen and one of the techniques used often by these particular individuals, is that they’ll show up with a DoorDash bag,” Hochman said.California's top news, sports and entertainment delivered to your inbox every day.
