Mayan Warrior Makes Chicago Debut This Summer With Full Art Car Experience At Union Park

Chicago is getting its first Mayan Warrior Art Car experience in collaboration with ARC Music Festival organizer, Auris Presents. The Mexico City-born collective announced its inaugural appearance in the Windy City, slated for July 17th, 2026, bringing the beloved structure to Union Park in the city’s Fulton Market district.
While Mayan Warrior has spent years touring across Mexico, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and beyond, for fans based in the Midwest, the experience has been out of reach, until now.Built in 2011 by founder Pablo González Vargas and a collective of Mexican and Northern California artists, Mayan Warrior became one of Burning Man’s most iconic fixtures before being destroyed in a fire en route to a Punta de Mita fundraiser in April 2023.
Its successor, the Galaxyer, debuted in 2024 with new lasers, sound, and an industrial design conceived as a futuristic Mayan spaceship.View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mayan Warrior (@_mayanwarrior_) Meanwhile, Auris Presents isn’t slowing down ahead of ARC Music Festival’s annual takeover of Union Park over Labor Day weekend.
