FISHER Lands Voice Role in Disney and Pixar's 'Toy Story 5'

As if FISHER wasn’t already a character in real life, the Australian dance music superstar is officially stepping into the world of animation after nabbing a voice acting role in the upcoming local release of Disney and Pixar’s highly anticipated Toy Story 5.Bringing his energetic personality to the big screen, FISHER will voice the character of Garden Gnome specifically for audiences in Australia and New Zealand.
His character is described as a member of a small yet scrappy community of forgotten toys who currently reside in an abandoned backyard shed.“I am incredibly excited to be part of Toy Story 5,” FISHER said.
“This is a franchise that my family and I have loved for years — I can’t wait to watch it with my kids.” The story picks up directly after the bittersweet conclusion of the fourth film, where Woody chose to leave Bonnie’s toybox to explore the wider world alongside Bo Peep.This new adventure reunites him with Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the classic gang.
They face a uniquely modern challenge as they attempt to rescue Bonnie’s imagination from being entirely consumed by a sleek smart tablet named Lilypad.Fans can look forward to the return of influential actors Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as the voices of Woody and Buzz.
They are joined by returning cast members Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, and Tony Hale as Forky.Toy Story 5 arrives exclusively in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on June 18, 2026.
