Newarks anti-ICE rioters: Letters to the Editor June 3, 2026

The Issue: Violent protests at Newark ICE detention center Delaney Hall, resulting in at least 40 arrests.Several people were arrested for rioting at Delaney Hall, thanks to Gov.Mikie Sherrill waking up and finally taking action (“Radicals from afar,” June 2).Some protesters turned out to not be citizens of New Jersey; some are likely being paid by outside sources.
These people are anarchists, such as Antifa, who are out to destroy this country.It started with the George Floyd riots and continues now with the constant riots against ICE agents who are working to get rid of criminal illegal aliens.It is time to take action against these people and their supporters by sending them all to jail.Richard KetayNewark, NJMerely getting visitation rights for those in captivity at Delaney Hall should have been granted immediately if there was nothing to hide.
