A homeless maniac charged with stabbing a 75-year-old woman in the neck in a random attack Sunday was twice freed without bail last year after terrorizing a Brooklyn beauty supply store owner.Shawnee Moore, 36, was busted in September 2025 for allegedly trying to torch someone at KNS Beauty Hair & Wigs on Mother Gaston Boulevard with a lighter and an aerosol hair spray can, while smashing the victim in the face and scratching him, court records show.She was charged with assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon in the incident and had an order of protection issued to stay away — but she was freed on supervised release by Judge Jevet Johnson despite prosecutors asking for $15,000 cash bail or a $30,000 bond.Just two months later, Moore was back at the beauty supply shop despite the judge’s order of protection that required her to stay away, according to a criminal complaint.“I will set the store on fire,” she allegedly told the same 52-year-old victim.“She should be put in a mental hospital,” two-time victim Dongwon Shin told The Post Tuesday.“She had braids, deadlocks.
She just opened the door: ‘You remember me?'”Moore was arrested again on charged of burglary, criminal contempt, menacing, resisting arrest and harassment, and again freed on supervised release by Judge Maria Aragona — this time with prosecutors signing off.On May 15, she skipped out on that case and had a warrant issued.Under the Empire State’s controversial criminal justice reforms, the second-degree assault charge against Moore in September is the only count eligible for bail — at the judge’s discretion.The remaining charges and the counts against her in November were not eligible for bail.That meant Moore was free to walk the streets shortly before 11:30 a.m.
