Lost Lands Opens 'Support Squad' Applications for Harm Reduction at 2026 Festival

Excision‘s Lost Lands is accepting applications for its harm reduction program ahead of the festival’s September return to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.According to the festival, ‘Support Squad’ is a “dedicated harm reduction group of compassionate, positive individuals whose mission is to take care of their fellow festival attendees.” Organizers are now offering paid positions for members stationed across the grounds to hand out water, share event information and serve as a point of contact for any headbanger who needs assistance.
They can be found “spreading good vibes, offering support, giving hydration and providing event information all weekend long,” with a dedicated ‘Safe Haven’ also operating on site.Accepted applicants will be compensated and are required to report to Legend Valley on the morning of Thursday, September 17th and remain through Monday, September 21st.
The application asks candidates about prior harm reduction experience, guest service backgrounds and their ability to stay on their feet for up to 12 hours at a stretch, with ADA-accessible positions available for members who need accommodation.Lost Lands has run the ‘Support Squad’ program across multiple editions as well as at Bass Canyon, Excision’s companion event at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington.
