Sara Landry and Alt8 Turn Up the Heat on Searing Techno Track, 'Hands Up'

Sara Landry and Alt8 have a way of knowing when they have a banger. The duo behind ‘Heaven,’ ‘Havana Bounce’ and ‘Funk Em’ are back with their fourth collaboration, ‘Hands Up,’ out now on Landry’s own HEKATE imprint.

“I always have so much fun in the studio with Alt8,” Landry said in a statement.“When you have a banger, you know, and every time we’re together I get that feeling.

This track is a cheeky one, just in time for summer.” Alt8 added: “This one hits the sweet spot: it’s playable in clubs and big stages and festivals. We’re just two friends vibing together without any plan.

Nothing’s forced, and it makes it feel extra special.” Built for warehouses and festival mainstages alike, ‘Hands Up’ never stops moving. The track, out now via Landry’s HEKATE label, tears open with galloping kick drums as its vocal refrain pierces through the dark.

The production then descends into industrial territory, slipping into something more dangerous through evocative lyrics: “Lights low, if you feel it, let it show.” The release arrives as Landry builds toward her sophomore album, continuing another prolific stretch of her career. The EDM.com Class of 2024 artist made her Ultra Music Festival debut this past March and returned to Coachella in April for a Quasar stage takeover with her all-female Blood Oath collective.

She heads into a busy festival season with upcoming appearances at Bonnaroo, Tomorrowland and ARC as well as a doubleheader at NYC’s Under the K Bridge and her debut Red Rocks headline show this October. You can listen to ‘Hands Up’ below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.  Scroll to continue more from edm Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Releases ‘Circonvolutions’ Remix in Collaboration With CHANEL Follow Sara Landry: X: x.com/saralandrydjInstagram: instagram.com/saralandrydjTikTok: tiktok.com/@saralandrydjFacebook: facebook.com/sarala...
