Listen to San Holo's Kaleidoscopic New Album, 'TRUE LOVE IN A MADE UP WORLD'

San Holo has dropped his fourth album, TRUE LOVE IN A MADE UP WORLD, proving that the only thing more intoxicating than his signature synth explosions is the devastating vulnerability hiding right beneath the surface. After years of producing emotive future bass and electronica, the Dutch electronic music producer and guitarist has now turned his attention to riddim, the bass-heavy sub-genre known more for its aggressive sound design than its introspection.
His take on the genre is what he calls “Wholesome Riddim,” a phrase that captures both the contradiction and the appeal through distorted drops wrapped in shimmering, heart-on-sleeve melodies. He debuted the sound at Excision’s Lost Lands Festival back in 2024 before launching a headline tour, at which point he “immediately started working on new music,” according to a press release.
The fruits of his labor have now bloomed on streaming platforms through a song-cycle of kaleidoscopic bangers including compelling collaborations with EDM.com Class of 2026 artist AVELLO, bass music superstar LSDREAM and the virtuosic guitarist RJ Pasin, among others.A surefire standout is, ‘I TRY,’ where Holo brilliantly weaponizes sparkling, maximalist beats to cushion the blow of the song’s heartbreaking narrative, a futile, exhausting struggle to turn emotional shadows into light while watching a relationship wither away in real time.
Elsewhere, he teams up with Big Gigantic and Evalyn on the synth-soaked ‘BEAUTIFUL COLORS,’ charting a narrative of two souls crashing through the darkness to discover rare, vivid emotional spectrums that exist only when they are together.Holo is now gearing up for an eponymous tour kicking off September 5th in Nebraska before moving through major markets across the country, with stops at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, the Warfield in San Francisco and the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York before closing October 17th at DC’s famed Echostage.
