Broadway’s biggest night is here.The 79th annual Tony Awards, celebrating the best and brightest of Broadway, are tonight, June 7.

19 plays and 11 musicals opened between April 28, 2025, through April 26, 2026, making them eligible for this year’s Tonys.“The Lost Boys,” based on the 1987 vampire flick, and “Schmigadoon!,” based on the Apple TV series, are tied for this year’s most-nominated musicals with 12 each.The Nathan Lane-led revival of “Death of a Salesman” leads nominated plays with nine.

This year, three lifetime achievement awards will be given out; Lincoln Center artistic director André Bishop, lighting designer Jules Fisher and director/writer/frequent Sondheim collaborator James Lapine will be honored.Grammy winning pop star P!NK, whose ties to the Broadway community include music in “& Juliet,” will host the Tonys this year.Ahead of the ceremony, she teased a “full-blown, ridiculous celebration” opening number with over 170 people on stage.
