Gavin Newsom says hes being investigated by Department of Justice

Gov.Gavin Newsom accused President Trump on Monday of directing the US Department of Justice to investigate the California governor and his family in an explosive social media post.Newsom said that federal investigators are looking into the activities of the governor, his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and family members as an act of political retaliation as the leader of California weighs a run for president after terming out of office at the beginning of next year.“In recent days, federal agents have knocked on the doors of family, friends, and former employees, not because they found a crime, because they’re simply trying to find one,” Newsom said in a video posted to X.“They’re demanding records, they’re abusing the grand jury process, digging through years and years of random documents.
