Body discovered matching missing South Carolina personal trainers description, police say

South Carolina police revealed Wednesday that they recovered a body matching the clothing description of a personal trainer who vanished after leaving her gym last week.Elena Katherine Moore was last seen leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington, when she headed toward a wooded area behind an adjacent Lowe’s Home Improvement store at 9:17 p.m.Thursday, the Lexington Police Department said.The 39-year-old trainer was wearing an olive green zip-up hoodie and black athletic pants when she left the gym, according to surveillance footage.Police found a body wearing similar clothes, Fox 8 reported.

It’s not clear where or when the person was found, and authorities are still waiting on a coroner for an exact identification.Authorities said Moore’s disappearance is still considered an active investigation and asked the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division to help.Moore is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 120 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes....
