Italys Meloni rips Trump after he claimed she begged for a photo at G7 as top diplomat cancels US trip

Italy Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni tore into President Trump Friday after he claimed that she “begged” him for a photo at this week’s G7 summit in France, saying she was “appalled” by his comment and warning him that “Italy and I never beg.”“Donald Trump’s statements are completely fabricated.I am frankly appalled,” Meloni proclaimed in a video posted to Instagram.“I don’t know why the President of the United States behaves this way towards his allies; after all, it’s not the first time it’s happened,” she went on.
