A New Jersey man pleaded guilty this week to sexually assaulting one of the girls on his wife’s cheerleading team — and his spouse is also facing charges in the disturbing case.Michael Brown repeatedly assaulted the girl, a member of the Harrison Sparks cheerleading squad, from when she was 13 to the time she was 16, authorities said.The attacks took place in the home Brown, 46, shared with his wife, Valerie, 44, who coached the cheerleaders and led the organization, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.The victim often stayed overnight at the couple’s home, prosecutors said.Some of the attacks also took place in a motel, according to Patch.com.Michael Brown, who pleaded guilty Wednesday, will also be barred from participating in youth sports.Valerie Brown, who allegedly knew about the motel attacks, is facing charges of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.Michael Brown is facing 10 years in prison and will be subject to lifetime parole and register as a sex offender upon release.A lawyer for Michael Brown did not return a call for comment.
