Lamine Yamals girlfriend Ines Garcia celebrates first World Cup goal: Best player in the world

Perhaps the most intriguing soccer star to follow heading into the 2026 World Cup was 18-year-old Spanish phenom Lamine Yamal.Most of the biggest active soccer stars have already had a chance to perform on the biggest stage.Yamal (who many believe to be the most talented player since Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi) hasn’t, given that he was merely 14 years old when the 2022 World Cup took place.This is why it was frustrating for fans that Yamal suffered a hamstring injury before the World Cup began, which meant he came on as a substitution rather then being a starter for Spain’s first group-stage game against Cape Verde, which ended in a 0-0 tie.Yamal was fit enough to start for Spain against Saudi Arabia on June 21.

He wasted no time scoring his first World Cup goal, finding the back of the net on an impressive sliding touch just 10 minutes into the match.Yamal has all of Spain cheering him on.But the most important fan for him is his girlfriend, Ines Garcia, who is at the World Cup to support him in person.Garcia was quick to celebrate Yamal’s goal on Sunday, which she did through a post to her Instagram Story.The story fan showed another fan celebrating the goal, which was captioned (in translated English from Spanish, “Ines was right… Lamine is in top form ”.

Garcia then added her own caption, which translated to, “The best player in the world is at 2,000,000%, and he’s also in good hands ️”.One would imagine that Garcia will have more goals from Yamal to celebrate during this World Cup....
