Brand New is looking backwards.Starting in late September, Jesse Lacey’s beloved emo outfit will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2006 album “The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me” at arenas, ballrooms, pavilions, theaters and auditoriums all over North America.That includes a stop at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Monday, Oct.12.In the off-chance you haven’t listened to “The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me” in the past decade, the impassioned, fist-pumping record is known for spawning fan favorite tracks “Jesus Christ,” “Sowing Season (Yeah),” “Degausser,” “Millstone” and “You Won’t Know” among others.“‘The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me’ blew up teen angst to literally biblical proportions, resonating like no emo band before or since to outcasts in Sunday school and high school,” Pitchfork noted in an overwhelmingly positive 2016 review, a year before Lacey was accused of grooming and inappropriate behavior with a minor.This forthcoming run of fall shows — 16 to be exact — comes on the heels of Brand New’s comeback 2025 run, the group’s first concerts since 2017 when the allegations against Lacey surfaced.On their ’25 outing, the Long Island natives headlined at arenas all over the U.S., Canada and the UK.Based on our findings at Set List FM, they went all out when they visited Belmont Park’s UBS Arena on July 2, performing a whopping 27 songs including tracks from 2003’s “Deja Entendu,” 2009’s “Daisy,” 2017’s “Science Fiction” and, of course nine from “The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me.”Plus, they threw in a cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s “Two-Headed Boy, Pt.
